Wesley Reid
Director
After obtaining his undergraduate Engineering Degree, Wesley completed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (cum-laude) and worked with the University of Pretoria’s engineering research team before joining ALA.

Kudzanayi Manhuwa
Associate
Kudzanayi Manhuwa is a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA) who joined ALA in 2021, bringing additional expertise to the team. He has since worked on a wide range of complex business interruption claims. His financial background has also proved valuable in formulating stock and property damage claims.
Before joining ALA, Kudzanayi worked as an External auditor, Finance Consultant, Tax Practitioner, Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator. In addition, he has managed a portfolio of clients within different industries such as manufacturing, Agriculture, Food processing, Manufacturing, Aviation, National and Local Government, Higher education, and Real Estate.
He holds a BCompt Accounting Degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Accounting (CTA), and he specialises in:

Patricia Sithole
Associate
Patricia has a Bachelor of Accounting degree obtained from the University of Johannesburg. After applying her trade outside the industry for several years, she joined ALA, where her business knowledge has made her a valuable part of the business interruption team.

Andrew Cook
Associate
Andrew has gained experience in a number of industries over the years namely; Construction, Manufacturing, Heavy Machinery and Mining. Before joining ALA in 2023, Andrew gained industry knowledge conducting adjustments following the 2021 KZN riots and 2022 floods.

Varusca is an integral part of the ALA team and is responsible for Finance, Administration, and Human Resources.

Associate
Johann holds a bachelor’s in law degree (LLB) and is a qualified admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Johann is an Associate of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Southern Africa. Before working with Associated Loss Adjusters, Johann worked for several large multinational Loss Adjusting Companies.

Edwina Pryce
Associate
With over 14 years of experience in the legal and insurance fields, Edwina specialises in complex and high-value liability claims. Edwina holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and was in an insurance litigation practice as an admitted attorney at a top-tier law firm. She was also a Specialist Claims Advocate at a global broking firm and represented a multitude of large corporate clients in various aspects of their insurance policies, including coverage, claims, and dispute resolution. Having also been a Legal/Liability Loss Adjuster at a global Loss Adjusting Firm, she has investigated and resolved complex claims across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.

Jacques Kotze
Consultant
Jacques is a Chartered Accountant, CA(SA), having worked in various industries and held financial managerial positions in large multinational companies for most of his career. In his time at ALA, Jacques has run point on many high-grossing claims, aiding in achieving a suitable and equitable settlement for all parties.

Owen Dixon
Director
Owen has been in the insurance and claims environment for more than 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Durban office. He is a Member of the Insurance Institute of Loss Adjusters of Southern Africa and the Insurance Institute of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Ross Weedon
Director
Ross holds a BA (Journalism) degree and an Advanced Certificate in Short-Term Insurance. Ross is:

- an Associate of the Insurance Institute of South Africa, and
- an Associate of the International Federation of Adjusting Associations
He is the current Chairman of the Southern Gauteng Region of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Southern Africa and an Exco Member of the National Committee of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Southern Africa.
